Medieval Fantasy Items (Eternus)

Camail - A camail is a thick heavy mail collar that attaches to a helm. It extends to cover the neck and shoulders.

Optional (Adornments): Camails can be adorned at the outer edging or with a zig-zaging lower edge. This is typically done with with chainmail links made of precious metals.

Equipping: Camails are typically equipped to the helmet with small staples known as vervelles. The mail could be attached to the helm by threading a cord through rings at the edge of the helm.
