Gorget - A gorget is a solid metal collar with shoulder protection worn under chest armor that protects the neck and shoulders. It is equipped with straps for attaching to the helm and chest armor. Gorgets support the weight of plate armor and offer excellent protection for the neck and shoulders.

Optional (Decoration): Gorgets are often etched, gilt, engraved, chased, embossed, or enamelled. These etchings can often represent military or noble rank.

Equipping: Gorgets are equipped by slipping them over the head and then equipping the chest armor and strapping the gorget to the chest and helm.
