Barbute - The barbute helmet is a visorless war helmet of Akira design that uses the distinctive "T" shaped or "Y" shaped opening for the eyes and mouth. The helmet extends to cover both sides of the face and there is often a metal guard to protect the wearer's nose offering excellent protection for the face. There is also often an optional decorative crest on the helm.
