Hatchet (Slashing: One-handed) The hatchet is a type of small hand-axe that has a metal blade on one side and a hammer on the other. It has a metal head attached to a straight wooden haft.

Note: The hatchet is popular with characters with the gathering (lumber) profession since it can be used to cut lumber as well as used in combat.

Equipping: A hatchet is equipped in one hand by removing it from its sheath by the hilt.
